Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the physical, social, and psychological status of NICU patients using evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver individualized plans of care. Evaluate patient response to interventions, revise care plans as needed, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of all clinical outcomes and family interactions. Maintain strict adherence to legal and ethical standards, including BLS certification and state licensure requirements. Requires strong manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and the ability to navigate crowded, busy hospital environments.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
