Job Summary
Night shift Registered Nurse – NICU in Daytona Beach, FL. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care per the nursing process and directs, delegates, and coordinates care provided by LPNs, CNAs, and Unit Clerks. Responsibilities include adapting care to patient age/development, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, engaging family/significant others in the plan of care, initiating individualized teaching for discharge, administering medications per policy, and contributing to quality improvement efforts. Requires Florida RN licensure; BSN preferred; completion of general and unit orientations; unit-specific competencies; and required certifications. Strong communication, professionalism, patient advocacy, and adherence to confidentiality and safety standards are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Florida RN license
- Completion of general and nursing orientation
- Completion of unit orientation and unit-specific competency checklist
- Certifications as required by the specific unit/area
- Completion of annual competency based learning modules [CBL’s]
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Florida Registered Nursing license
