Job Summary
The Registered Nurse NICU provides patient care in the neonatal intensive care unit following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Responsibilities include directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients per established clinical standards, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective care and positive outcomes, and delivering family-centered care with attention to developmental age and cultural diversity. The role supports the organization’s mission and engages in performance improvement to demonstrate quality outcomes. Requires an RN license in Texas (or compact licensure) and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, ENPC, TNCC, NICU-related credentials). Education: Associate Degree in Nursing. Skills include critical thinking, effective communication, interpersonal abilities, documentation proficiency, and the ability to read and comprehend English. Location: El Paso, TX.
