Registered Nurse NICU Air Transport

Job Summary
Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate the stabilization and emergency care of NICU patients in collaboration with the Medical Control Provider. Perform daily transport responsibilities each shift, serving as an ambassador for HCA to referring facilities, staff, and providers. Deliver critical neonatal care primarily by ground and helicopter across a regional radius, functioning within guidelines of protocols reviewed by the HCA Midwest Maternal Leadership Team. Adhere to hospital policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and AAP Guidelines for Air and Ground Transport. Work full-time nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) in three 12-hour shifts plus rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of school of nursing
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license
- BCLS
- NRP
- Minimum of 3 years current clinical experience as a NICU RN working in a tertiary obstetrical care center
- Commitment to performing daily transport responsibilities each shift
- Schedule: Full-time Nights; 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; 3 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends
