Job Summary
Assess and interpret clients' physical and psychological conditions while administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments in compliance with nursing practice standards and legislation. Ensure early identification of health complications associated with chronic or communicable diseases and collaborate with the medical team to develop customized personal care plans. Document full-cycle resident care, monitor medical supplies, and maintain equipment according to manufacturer instructions. Establish rapport with clients to satisfy their physical, psychological, and social needs while fostering a clean, positive working environment. Maintain a valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, CPR certification, and proof of vaccination.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current registered member with the College of Burses of Ontario
- CPR certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proof of Covid Vaccination
- TB test or Chest Xray
- Previous experience in the following area is an asset
- Medicine/Palliative Care Nursing or Emergency Dept
- Pre/Post-Surgical Nursing
- Recent/related educational programs
Desired Qualifications
- BCLS/ ACLS
- Specialized skills in Medical/Surgical Nursing or Emergency Dept
- Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, with excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer application
