Registered Nurse Newborn Nursery

As a Registered Nurse in the Newborn Nursery at St. David’s Medical Center, you will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned newborn patients, collaborating with Labor and Delivery, Obstetricians, and Pediatric/Neonatology teams. You will complete an admission assessment with discharge planning within 2 hours of admission, initiate a critical pathway during admission, identify and report changes in patient condition, document care outcomes and unresolved issues, administer and document medications, and evaluate and adjust the care plan and patient teaching as needed. The role requires BSN, Texas RN (or Compact with 90-day licensure), BLS, and NRP certifications, plus at least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
