Job Summary
RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures of Las Palmas Medical Center and the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners; collaborates with patient, family, and health-care team to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate treatment plans and plan of care. Requires Texas or Compact state nursing license, BCLS and NRP certifications; graduates from accredited ADN or BSN programs; strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership, and customer-service skills; computer literacy for charting and order entry. Las Palmas Medical Center is a 300+ bed facility offering NICU care, part of HCA Healthcare in El Paso, TX. Required Qualifications
- Texas or Compact State Nursing License
- BCLS Certification
- NRP Certification
- Graduate from an Accredited Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing Program
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team to ensure quality care
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize needs continuously
- Ability to lead a team and function as a team member
- Excellent customer service skills follow AIDET philosophy
