Registered Nurse Newborn ICU

Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU (RN Newborn ICU) providing care under the supervision of nurse leadership. Responsibilities include patient care planning and execution, collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team, documentation of care plans and interventions, medication administration, starting IVs and routine nursing tasks, patient and family education, and handling acute changes in patient acuity. Must be able to multitask, prioritize, communicate effectively using SBARQ, and maintain nursing documentation; requires ability to perform basic nursing skills and potentially assume charge responsibilities. Education: accredited nursing program graduate with RN licensure in the state; Bachelor’s degree preferred. On-site duties at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper; on-call and travel between campus facilities may be required.
