Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect nursing care to newborn patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer safe, accurate, and timely medications and IVs while ensuring complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information. Support the educational process for patients, families, and significant others, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes a cooperative work atmosphere. Maintain professional growth and initiative in performance while adhering to hospital standards for quality care. Work as a PRN Tier 3 nurse with four shifts per pay period, including weekend coverage and recognized holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) shifts per pay period
- Three (3) weekend shifts per quarter
- Two (2) MHS recognized holidays* per calendar year
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
- at least 1 year NICU RN experience
