Job Summary
RN provides professional nursing care for oncology/hematology patients under supervision, collaborates with interdisciplinary team, conducts health assessments, administers therapies (including chemotherapy/immunotherapy under physician direction), maintains documentation and patient confidentiality, triages patient needs, supports patient/family education, and participates in clinical operations and research across NYOH's Albany-area centers. Requires licensure, BLS, and ongoing education; oncology nursing knowledge and coordination with physicians and LPN/LVNs is emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- RN license in practicing state
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred or required unless grandfathered in)
- 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably oncology
- Ability to learn chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration and related procedures
