Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in Med Surg and Intensive Care Units using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Monitor therapy and treatment plans, document care in accordance with hospital guidelines, and coordinate with the health team including tele-critical care intensivists. Operate monitors, identify equipment, and perform patient transfers while maintaining safety standards. This hybrid role supports new graduates through a residency program with night shifts, offering up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Certification as appropriate for unit or service
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree of Nursing
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
