Job Summary
Nursing Graduate in an ICU setting works under direct RN supervision within a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU, participating in patient care and the nursing process while orienting to RN assignments and progressing toward RN licensure. Responsibilities include assisting with medication administration under supervision, contributing to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, documenting accurately, supporting patient/family education, and meeting program requirements (Nurse Residency) during a 12-week period, after which RN licensure is pursued. The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate care, clinical learning across cardiovascular surgery, trauma, neuro, stroke, medical and surgical cases, and adherence to regulatory standards. Essential functions include collecting patient data, prioritizing patient needs, observing and collaborating with RNs on care plans, and maintaining confidentiality; minimum qualifications require an accredited RN education program completion and BLS certification, with a pathway to RN licensure. Location: Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital, Ogden, Utah; full-time 36 hours/week with variable shifts.
