Job Summary
Deliver direct patient care for assigned Medical-Surgical patients by performing ongoing assessments, administering medications and IV therapy, and communicating changes in condition to physicians. Respond quickly to patient status changes while providing patient and family education, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This full-time night shift role (7p–7a) includes a structured residency program with hands-on training and preceptor support for new graduates. Central Maine Medical Center serves 400,000 people across the region through its integrated healthcare delivery system.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator Management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
