Job Summary
Conduct medical assessments for individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and substance abuse issues to determine appropriate placement. Collaborate with physicians to develop, implement, and revise service plans while ensuring current medical records and medication administration compliance. Administer medications per guidelines, manage high-risk conditions, and provide training flow charts for clients, staff, and respite providers. Maintain contact with specialists, attend doctor visits when directed, and operate durable medical equipment. Participate in on-call rotations, IDT meetings, and Human Rights Committee sessions as needed. Coordinate transportation and household activities including meal preparation and light housekeeping. Requires current state RN license, one year experience with medically complex individuals, and valid driver's license. Travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- One year experience working with medically complex individuals
- Current state RN License
- Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Travel as needed
- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
