Job Summary
Registered Nurse Neuromuscular role on part-time, 12-hour night shifts at Northwestern Medicine. Responsibilities include employing the complete nursing process from admission to discharge, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, supervising both licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, and delivering holistic, culturally sensitive patient care with accurate documentation. Requires Illinois RN license, BLS certification, and ADN or BSN (or signed learning agreement). Demonstrates analytical, communication, and teamwork skills to manage stressful situations and meet patient/family needs. Preferred: BSN and rehabilitation nursing experience. Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license.
- BLS CPR certification through American Heart Association.
- ADN or higher nursing degree (ie. BSN) or signed learning agreement required upon hire.
- Analytical skills necessary to assess a patient's condition and utilize the nursing process and professional judgment in providing comprehensive patient care.
- Ability to interact with patients, families, medical personnel and other members of the health care team.
- Ability to perform effectively and efficiently in stressful, urgent situations.
- Cognizant of customer needs related to culture, age, developmental level and diagnoses.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
