Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer safe, accurate, and timely medications and IVs while maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff. Communicate complete, accurate, and timely patient information to the team, co-workers, and families, ensuring understanding of the informational manner. Adhere to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through effective communication and team building. Assume responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family educational process and take personal initiative for professional growth. Work as a PRN nurse from 7a-7p, one shift per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
- Six months RN experience
