Registered Nurse Neuro Med Surg

Provide patient-centered nursing care to adults on the Neuro Med Surg unit, including thorough assessments, development and implementation of individualized care plans, administration of medications and treatments, monitoring for changes in condition, rapid response to neurological and medical emergencies, and collaboration with physicians, APPs, therapists, case managers, and support staff. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate EMR documentation, adhering to unit protocols, ensuring patient safety (fall prevention, skin integrity, infection control), educating patients and families about diagnoses and treatment plans, mentoring new team members, participating in huddles and quality improvement initiatives, and pursuing ongoing professional development and specialty certifications. This position is primarily field/on-site in a hospital environment with rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) as needed by the unit.
