Registered Nurse Neuro ICU

Neuro ICU RN responsible for complex, evidence-based care of critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients including stroke, traumatic brain injury, seizures, spinal cord injury, and post-operative care. Manage ventilators, intracranial pressure monitoring devices, central/arterial lines, and titratable infusions (vasopressors, sedatives) while participating in stroke/neurotrauma pathways and post-thrombectomy care. Collaborate with intensivists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, communicate with families, document in the EHR, participate in rounds and safety huddles, and pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications in neuroscience or critical care. Strong critical thinking, effective communication, and a calm, organized approach in a high-pressure environment are essential. On-site, traditional hospital setting in Winston-Salem, NC.
