Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Nephrology Specialty Care Clinic provides direct patient care using the nursing process within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include patient/family communication, care coordination between clinic and home, leveraging telehealth when appropriate, and ensuring adherence to clinical practice guidelines. The role emphasizes ongoing professional development, accountability for patient care quality, supervision of unlicensed personnel, and participation in quality improvement to support safe, effective pediatric nephrology care. Required qualifications include GA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC, BLS within 30 days, and PALS/PEARS within one year as applicable. Preferred BSN with 12 months RN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or Multi-State licensure through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
- PALS or PEARS within one year of employment as required by department
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
