Job Summary

Prepare equipment, monitor patients during dialysis, administer medications, and educate patients while providing emotional support. Conduct thorough assessments through chart reviews and interviews, then develop and evaluate nursing care plans based on evidence-based practices. Maintain accurate records of patient status and discharge plans using manual and computerized systems. Provide direction to staff, promote teamwork, and advocate for patients' rights and dignity. Support nursing research initiatives and contribute to the improvement of care policies and procedures. Join the close-knit Nephrology team at Providence Health Care's Kidney Medicine and Transplant ward, where nurses collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and transplant recipients.

Required Qualifications

  • You must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing and be eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures
  • Experience in teamwork, decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated a teaching aptitude
  • Proficient in clinical leadership
