Review charts and orders prior to appointments, ensuring prep work is complete and documenting pertinent health information in electronic medical records. Administer prescribed medications per provider orders, perform diagnostic tests including pregnancy, urine, glucose, and EKGs, and provide counseling on preventative health and screenings. Screen phone calls via triage protocol, consult with disciplines to address patient needs, and interact with third-party payers to ensure reimbursement. Maintain clean exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and perform equipment controls while participating in staff orientation and professional development meetings.
