Job Summary
Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in the Mother Baby Unit, ensuring every action aligns with the highest safety standards. Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of specialists to ensure patient care is seamless, holistic, and focused on the best possible clinical outcomes. Monitor and interpret patient conditions in real-time, acting as the vital link between the patient and the medical team through proactive communication and precise documentation. Advocate for the patient's journey by initiating and managing comprehensive discharge plans, ensuring a safe and successful transition from hospital to home. This night shift, part-time role at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita, KS requires an Advanced Registered Nurse with BLS, ALS, and NRP certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
