Job Summary
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire
- Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, etc.)
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; ability to reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
