Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of postpartum patients using the nursing process, technology, and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration while managing time, supplies, and resources to deliver patient care. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and revise care plans as needed based on clinical outcomes and satisfaction. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Work the night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., eligible for shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Night shift 7p-7a

- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles
Desired Qualifications
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
