Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate postpartum patient care using the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practice. Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams through delegation and collaboration, while actively seeking input from patients, families, and physicians to develop individualized care plans. Direct care delivery by setting priorities, managing time and resources, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. Reassess patient responses to interventions and revise care plans as needed, maintaining strict adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. Perform physical tasks including patient transfers, equipment manipulation, and navigating crowded hospital environments. Night shift rotation from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with eligibility for shift differentials.

Required Qualifications

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified
  • Night shift 7p-7a
  • eligible for shift differentials
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
  • Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Ability to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles

Desired Qualifications

  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
