Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer safe, accurate, and timely medications and IVs while ensuring complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information. Supervise assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups to deliver age-appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and coworkers while utilizing communication skills to promote a cooperative work environment. Take personal responsibility for performance and professional growth within a collaborative setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards
- Works with confidential material
- Vision Essential
