Job Summary
Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit by assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients with multisystem failure, renal failure, and sepsis. Coordinate and delegate patient activities to inter-professional colleagues, update records, and interpret computerized data. Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and families while following BMC guidelines for quality improvement. Requires an active or pending Massachusetts RN license, 1+ years of RN experience, and ACLS certification. Schedule includes 36 hours across days, nights, and rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one
- 1+ years of RN experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN
- Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fluency in another language
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and flu, as well as receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Must complete a background check before beginning their employment
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in basic life support (BLS)
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
