Registered Nurse

Conduct primary care of patients, verify needs through rounds, and monitor for complications to inform surgeons or anesthesiologists immediately. Deliver nursing care related to surgical conditions, coordinate activities with medical staff for continuity, and document pre/post-operative orders and post-anesthesia information. Educate patients and families on post-operative care while organizing time, equipment, and personnel for management. Maintain order and cleanliness of postoperative areas, manage inventory of supplies and drugs, and adhere to HIPAA policies. Requires active RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, minimum one year of PACU experience, and an associate or bachelor's degree.
