Job Summary
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care across multiple specialties. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including collecting histories, conducting physical exams, and modifying care plans. Assist in implementing medical interventions, administer medications and immunizations, and collect laboratory specimens for diagnostic workflows. Review and interpret lab results, provide patient education on disease management and wellness, and respond to clinical emergencies by initiating basic life support. Maintain accurate EHR documentation, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and complete continuing education to maintain licensure. This Registered Nurse-MHL role operates in a multispecialty ambulatory setting, requiring frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds regularly. Candidates must hold a current New York State RN license with a BSN preferred, along with BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- BLS certification required
- Competence with computerized health records and clinical documentation systems
