Job Summary
Assess resident care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes related to nursing care. Interview applicants, recommend hires, and participate in counseling to the extent permitted by law. Initiate and lead team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans, assess and document resident conditions, and assign qualified team members. Implement physicians' orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and special tests, and document procedures as required. Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is maintained safely. Coordinate nursing care for residents scheduled for therapy or procedures, report observations regarding residents, and institute emergency measures for adverse developments. Direct and train staff while communicating effectively with residents, families, and organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
- Must be skilled in directing, motivating and training staff
- able to work as a member of a team
- able to communicate effectively with residents, family members and all levels of the organization
- maintain confidentiality
- graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- valid RN state license
