Job Summary
Plans, prepares, and provides individualized, direct preoperative care to in- and outpatients in the Surgery department using the nursing process. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current RN licensure in the state of practice, at least two years of surgery, perioperative, or critical care experience, and BLS certification. Full-time, 40-hour week with physical demands including lifting 50 lbs and prolonged standing. Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- At least 2 years of Surgery, Perioperative or Critical Care experience
- BLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
