Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and provide individualized, direct preoperative care to in- and outpatients in the Surgery department using the nursing process. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards. Requires current RN licensure, at least two years of Surgery, Perioperative, or Critical Care experience, and BLS certification (ACLS and PALS preferred). Full-time, 40-hour week at Mercy South in St. Louis, MO. Position involves lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and walking. Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- At least 2 years of Surgery, Perioperative or Critical Care experience
- BLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
