Job Summary
Provide nursing care using the nursing process to assigned patients, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, evaluate care effectiveness, and coordinate patient care with other departments. Maintain professional accountability and ensure alignment with Mercy mission and service standards. Eligible graduates may hold ADN, Diploma, or BSN; must obtain and maintain RN licensure in the hiring state/compact, and complete required certifications (BLS and unit-specific certifications) within stated timeframes. Expected to perform duties requiring physical ability (lifting 50 lbs, standing/walking long shifts) and participate in a collaborative healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and other unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, etc.)
- Physical requirements: ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
