Job Summary
Provide nursing care in Med/Surg units using the nursing process; coordinate patient care with other departments; maintain patient rights and confidentiality; maintain active RN licensure (and compact licensure as applicable) and meet certification requirements such as BLS and unit-specific certifications (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, CPHON, OCN, STABLE, C-EFM); perform duties with professionalism and in alignment with Mercy mission and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certifications: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PALS, CPHON, OCN, STABLE, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM as required by unit/position
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and withstand prolonged standing/walking
- Ability to coordinate care with other departments and maintain patient confidentiality
