Job Summary
Assess, document, plan, implement, and evaluate the total nursing care for assigned patients to ensure optimal health and continuity. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians while directing and monitoring care delegated to non-licensed personnel. Maintain safe environments by ensuring the plan of care is carried out effectively. Cross-train across all patient care departments to guarantee adequate staffing levels. This full-time day shift role at Martin County Hospital District requires a Texas-licensed RN with one year of hospital experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license certified by the State of Texas or licensure from a state within the nursing compact required
- Hold current CPR/BLS or obtain upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Credentials in an advanced cardiac life support course (e.g. ACLS or hospital equivalent) preferred
- Credentials in a nationally recognized pediatric advanced life support course (e.g. PALS or ENPC) preferred
- TNCC preferred
- One (1) year experience as a Professional Registered Nurse in a hospital environment preferred
