Job Summary
Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, establishing objectives, and defining interventions while re-evaluating care goals against therapeutic standards. Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating pertinent information to the healthcare team. Document patient care services in records, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and legal regulations. Adhere to Avera's core values, CARE standards, and safety principles including CMS and Joint Commission requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Active license in the state of practice
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
