Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate patient care for the assigned population while documenting outcomes and managing time effectively. Direct and coordinate patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards. Complete yearly mandatory competencies, unit-specific skills, and Professional Practice Ladder requirements including Charge Nurse responsibility, peer review participation, and portfolio submission by March 1st. Solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction while developing educational materials for staff and patients. Requires RN II licensure with BLS certification, 1872 hours of RN experience, and a valid Virginia or West Virginia license. Salary ranges from $34.00 to $48.87 for full-time roles.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse II (RN II)
- Education Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN)
- Bachelor's Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 1872 full-time or part-time hours (936 if hold BSN) of RN experience
- Completion of a performance evaluation
- RN license
- Licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia and/or West Virginia
- Multistate license under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Single-state license valid in Virginia or West Virginia only
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved
- American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation
- Reliable means of phone communication with hospital
