Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the medical-surgical unit providing professional nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting using the nursing process. Responsibilities include planning and delivering safe, evidence-based care; assessing and addressing patient needs across the life span; providing patient education; documentation and handoff communications; and collaborating with interprofessional teams. Requires an active RN license (or multi-state license via eNLC) and BLS within 30 days of hire; less than 12 months of nursing experience; night shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. The role supports ongoing professional development pathways (CAPE ladder) and emphasizes adherence to ANA code of ethics and culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
- Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- BSN degree preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) multi-state RN license acceptable
