Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols by systematically evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Use the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care, collect assessment data, determine diagnoses, identify outcomes, and evaluate patient results. Establish effective relationships with patients and families to facilitate unique care plans while educating them on measures that promote, maintain, and restore health. Collaborate with the inter-professional team to assess needs, set goals, and provide interventions, ensuring culturally sensitive and compassionate decision-making. Serve as a mentor and role model for nursing colleagues, students, and others to foster a healthy work environment. Perform point-of-care testing according to policies and procedures. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, delivering care based on age-specific and clinical needs as described in the department's Scope of Service.
