Job Summary
Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients in Medical Surgical/PCU; provide direct patient care; patient/family education; transitions of care; practice within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model; leadership through preceptor role and informal leadership; participate on committees or quality improvement efforts; delegate patient care according to patient acuity, resources, and staff capability; possesses excellent communication skills and mentoring abilities; may participate in quality improvement initiatives and drives efficient nursing care; may be required to drive personal vehicle as part of role; TN sponsorship is available for this role which requires state licensure and VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
