Job Summary

Monitor vital signs and clinical status, administer medications and treatments, and perform wound and post-operative care for adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Develop individualized care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and document all assessments and interventions accurately within the electronic health record. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe patient recovery, while actively contributing to infection control, fall prevention, and quality improvement initiatives. Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, procedures, and self-care strategies, advocating for unique needs within a diverse, supportive environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse
  • Medical Surgical unit experience
  • Compassionate and detail-oriented
  • Ability to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
  • Experience with diverse population of adult patients
  • Knowledge of medical and post-surgical conditions
  • Ability to perform comprehensive assessments
  • Ability to develop individualized care plans
  • Ability to administer medications and treatments
  • Ability to monitor patient responses
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team
  • Ability to manage a dynamic patient load
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
