Job Summary
Manage patient care for a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit treating populations with congestive heart failure, COPD, DKA, and sepsis. Interpret EKGs, manage central lines, and administer rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, and trach/vent support. Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies while collaborating with PCNAs, nurse interns, and providers. Work rotating 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts with weekend and holiday rotation. Requires current Ohio RN licensure, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus one year of relevant experience for PRN roles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Possess all required certifications upon hire
