Job Summary
Assess patient conditions during admission and scheduled shifts, promptly identifying and reporting status changes. Perform procedures and monitor patients for therapeutic responses to prescribed medications, documenting all care administration thoroughly. Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs to resolve issues. Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex terminology. Maintain current licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and hold BLS certification. This role supports Mission Hospital's commitment to nursing excellence within Western North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- One year of RN experience
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN)
- Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
Desired Qualifications
- Hospital nursing experience
- Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
- National Certification in area of specialty
