Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Float Pool

Assess, manage, and direct nursing care activities for patients across various Medical Surgical units, coordinating care planning with interdisciplinary teams. Perform comprehensive assessments, document findings, and establish evidence-based plans of care that incorporate patient goals and interventions. Administer medications, monitor IV fluids and blood products, and provide direct patient care including toileting, skin care, and feeding. Communicate patient status through shift reports, huddles, and conferences while ensuring accurate documentation of all interventions and physician orders. Provide specialized care for high-risk patients, manage restraint alternatives, and educate patients and families on discharge needs and cultural considerations.
