Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Use standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase quality of care and life for patients, families, and significant others by systematically evaluating nursing practice effectiveness. Establish effective relationships to serve as an advocate, facilitating unique care plans based on physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure dimensions. Utilize the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care, including collecting assessment data, determining diagnoses, and identifying expected outcomes. Coordinate with inter-professional teams and educate patients on measures promoting health or comfort. Foster a healthy work environment by serving as a mentor and role model. Apply evidence-based practice to ensure care meets age-specific and clinical needs. Maintain constant alertness and safely perform point of care testing when assigned. Work in a variable shift with no scheduled weekly hours listed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
