Job Summary
Inpatient RN to join the Medical Step Down unit (42 beds, telemetry-capable) at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. The role supports care for trach/vent-dependent patients with Hi Flow O2 and continuous monitoring, with dedicated nurse educator and clinical coordination support, and a structured orientation. Responsibilities include performing critical nursing duties on a step-down unit, providing bedside care, collaborating with respiratory therapy and APP/MD teams, and ensuring patient safety and quality care on a day-shift schedule (full-time, every other weekend, rotating holidays). The unit emphasizes telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, and episodic nursing interventions in a Magnet Hospital setting, with opportunities for professional growth and education reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Education: Diploma in Nursing (Required)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
