Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Medical/Oncology, PRN Days. Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner across adult medical/surgical, pediatric, critical care and oncology populations. Requires nursing diploma/degree and Tennessee RN licensure with BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 6 months (and related unit-specific certifications such as NVCI, TNCC, PALS, ENPC/TNCC depending on unit) and ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year for Oncology. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, patient education, discharge planning, medication administration, documentation, and maintaining a safe healing environment. Experience requirements vary by unit (emergency, pediatric, critical care, oncology, telemetry) with certifications and experience as specified. Prolonged standing and lifting up to 250 lbs are expected; ability to work up to twelve hours per shift. Locations hint: Fairview, TN, US.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- NVCI certification within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire (Oncology track)
- TNCC/PALS/ENPC as applicable by unit (ER/PCU/etc.) within specified timeframes
- PALS within 6 months of hire (Pediatric ER/PoC)
- ACLS within 6 months of hire (ER/Medical/Surgical)
- PALS within 6 months of hire (ER/Med/Surg)
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire (ER)
- AT LEAST ONE YEAR of relevant experience preferred for certain units
- Oncology chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- NVCI certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
