Job Summary
Registered Nurse (Medical/Oncology) - PRN Days at Williamson Health. Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner across adult and pediatric patient populations. Requires TN nursing license, nursing diploma/degree, BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 6 months for certain units, and unit-specific certifications (including NVCI, TNCC/PALS/ENPC as applicable; oncology chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year; CCRN/CCP/AACN certifications for critical care as applicable). The role encompasses adult medical-surgical, pediatric care, emergency, and oncology care delivery with emphasis on comprehensive assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient teaching, discharge planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Valid for hospital settings with telemetry, Omnicell, and other patient-care equipment; requires ability to stand for long shifts and work in a high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire for multiple units where applicable
- NVCI certification within 6 months of hire for float pool and other units
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire (Oncology)
- TNCC/PALS/ENPC or equivalent within designated timeframes per unit
- PALS or ACLS as required by unit (Adult/Pediatric Emergency, etc.)
- Pediatric Emergency/Pediatric Medical-Surgical experience preferred (as applicable)
- Ability to meet unit-specific certifications and patient-care delivery requirements
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and discharge planning
- Proficiency with telemetry equipment and hospital information systems
