Job Summary
Registered Nurse for Medical/Oncology PRN Days. Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner across oncology and related units. Requires TN licensure and nursing degree/diploma with BLS within 90 days. Additional certifications including ACLS, NVCI, TNCC/ENPC, and ONS chemo/immunotherapy within specified timelines depending on unit assignment. Responsibilities span comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient teaching and discharge planning, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience in emergency, pediatric, critical care, or oncology settings and proficiency with telemetry, Omnicell, and electronic health records are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI certification within 6 months (where applicable)
- For float pool and float pool extended: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI certification within 6 months
- For critical care: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI certification within 6 months; AACN, CCRN or CCP within two years
- For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year
- For Adult Emergency Room: at least one year of emergency experience preferred; TNCC preferred; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Medical Surgical: at least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Emergency Room: at least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months; ENPC or TNCC within 6 months
