Registered Nurse Medical/Oncology - PRN Days

Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care across adult and pediatric units with a focus on oncology, emergency, pediatric emergency, and critical care populations. Requires Tennessee nursing license, nursing degree or diploma, and completion of required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NVCI, TNCC/ENPC, PALS, ONS chemo/immunotherapy depending on unit). Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient teaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and ensuring safety and quality in diverse care delivery settings. Familiarity with telemetry, oncology chemotherapy/immunotherapy protocols, and pediatric/adult emergency care is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire (Telemetry/Float/Oncology/Critical Care/ER requirements)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire (for Critical Care)
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire (Oncology)
- PALS within 6 months of hire (Pediatric settings)
- TNCC or ENPC within 6 months of hire (Emergency/Ped ER)
- Experience in various pediatric and adult care delivery settings
- Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and care planning
- Ability to administer medications and treatments safely
- Documentation and patient education duties
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and coordinate care
